"I Hope They Don't Eat the Baby Jesus"

And I hope everyone will forgive the seemingly irreverent title of this post. This is what goes on in the mind of a four year old. Jake is getting ready for his Christmas program at school. One of the songs his class will be singing is Away in a Manger. So we were discussing this song the other day and Jake asked me, "Mommy, do you know where the Baby Jesus was sleeping?" Not sure where he was going with this, I said, "No, Jake. Why don't you tell me?" He proceeds to tell me that He slept where the cows eat their food. After thinking for a minute, the next words out of his mouth were, "I hope they don't eat the Baby Jesus." Too Funny.
