We had a wonderful Halloween this year. For the first time in a while, I was not scrambling for costumes at the last minute. I picked a day and ordered the last thing I heard the boys say they wanted to be and from that day on, I just ignored all the other costume ideas they spouted off. We decorated pumpkin cookies that looked better than they tasted and took a year off from the complicated pumpkin carving patterns. We trick-or-treated in our neighborhood, which took about 45 minutes and that night the boys crashed after their sugar highs.
